planetCARE Academy had a clear vision but a complex brief. The platform needed to support a wide range of content types and user needs, all while staying visually clean, intuitive to navigate, and on-brand. The project posed several key challenges:

• Multi-format content delivery: The platform needed to support lectures, interactive courses, vlogs, blogs, and tech insights; each with different layout and functionality needs.
• Interactive learning system: A full-featured LMS was required to deliver structured lessons, quizzes, and printable certificates, all integrated seamlessly into the site.
• Recurring user questions: The CEO was repeatedly fielding the same enquiries. A solution was needed to reduce manual responses and turn those questions into a helpful, public resource.
• Creative freedom within brand constraints: The design had to reflect crcCARE’s existing colour palette and typography, while also allowing space for a more dynamic, expressive visual style.
• User-friendly navigation: With so much content available, the site needed a navigation system that would guide users intuitively, especially first-time visitors unsure of where to start.

We took a modular approach to design and functionality creating a structure that was versatile, scalable, and dead-simple to use.

Learning Made Simple

LearnDash was the obvious choice for powering the Academy’s courses. It supports everything from structured modules to quizzes and certificate generation, all within WordPress. We designed each course flow to feel like a natural, guided experience.

Content That Grows With Them

Each content type got its own unique layout:

• Vlogs centred around video
• Blogs used a flexible layout for varied content lengths
• Tech Insights mixed image galleries with rich narrative content

Each template was designed to scale so the site would look just as good with 5 posts as it would with 500.

Solving for Repetitive Questions

To help the CEO reclaim his inbox, we introduced a custom “Ask Us Anything” feature. Users submit questions via a form, which are turned into draft posts in the backend. Once answered, they’re published directly to the site building a living, searchable Q&A resource.

Bringing Design to Life

We worked within crcCARE’s colour palette and type system, but took liberties to inject energy and modernity:

• Bold typography draws attention to key ideas
• Entrance animations and hover states add a sense of flow
• Subtle text animations on the Donate page enhance storytelling
• Imagery was carefully edited to ensure legibility and alignment with the site’s environmental message
• Layered design elements suggest continuity and motion down the page
• A predominantly light background keeps the UI clean and focused, with dark or colour-based sections used to add visual rhythm

Navigation Without Friction

With so much content, clarity was key. We designed a mega menu that works like a visual sitemap, large, clickable tiles paired with short descriptions help users quickly understand where to go and what they’ll find.

The result is a clean, engaging and highly functional learning platform that supports planetCARE’s mission and makes sustainability education feel exciting, not overwhelming.

Whether they’re watching a lecture, completing a course, or browsing the latest tech breakthroughs, users now have a single, consistent place to learn, explore, and grow.
