  • Responsive Development: The website was designed and developed to provide a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

  • Google Analytics Integration: Analytics tracking was implemented to provide insights into user behaviour and engagement across the website.

HEAL’s existing website no longer reflected the quality of care and professionalism of the business. Over time, updates had been introduced incrementally, resulting in a website that felt visually inconsistent and difficult to scale.

At the same time, the business itself was evolving. HEAL was exploring a broader brand refresh, including a possible transition toward “HEAL Emergency Care”, alongside updated colours, fonts, and visual styling. The challenge was not simply rebuilding a website, but creating a digital platform capable of supporting future growth and ongoing brand evolution.

The project also required balancing premium healthcare aesthetics with usability. The website needed to feel modern and polished without becoming overwhelming or difficult for patients to navigate. Large, bold imagery and refined layouts were important to the visual direction, but functionality and clarity remained critical.

Another key challenge was ensuring the HEAL team could easily manage content internally moving forward. The backend needed to remain simple and intuitive for non-technical staff while still providing the flexibility required for future expansion.

1. Discovery & Strategic Planning

The project commenced with a detailed discovery process focused on understanding HEAL’s commercial goals, branding direction, and operational requirements. Workshops and planning sessions explored website functionality, user journeys, content management requirements, and future scalability opportunities.

A key focus during this phase was ensuring the website would support both current services and future business evolution. Rather than patching together incremental updates, the decision was made to completely rebuild the website to achieve a more cohesive and future-proof outcome.

2. Design Direction & Brand Evolution

The design direction centred around creating a cleaner, more premium healthcare experience. Inspiration references were explored collaboratively to define the visual style, focusing heavily on sophisticated layouts, large imagery, refined typography, and improved spacing.

The updated branding approach introduced more flexibility into the visual identity through secondary colours, modern fonts, and improved image styling conventions. The result was a digital experience that felt calm, professional, and aligned with the level of care provided by the HEAL team.

Throughout the process, careful attention was placed on balancing aesthetics with accessibility and usability. Healthcare websites often need to communicate important information quickly, so clarity and intuitive navigation remained a priority throughout the design process.

3. WordPress Development & CMS Flexibility

The website was built on WordPress using a highly customised CMS structure tailored specifically to HEAL’s internal requirements. This allowed the team to easily manage content updates, upload imagery, create articles, and maintain the website without relying heavily on developers.

The Elementor page builder was implemented to provide flexible content editing capabilities while maintaining design consistency across the site. Modular design components were also developed to streamline future page creation and maintain visual consistency as the website grows.

Responsive development and performance optimisation were prioritised throughout the build to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.

4. SEO, Performance & Launch

SEO considerations were integrated throughout the redevelopment process, including content structure, website architecture, and migration planning. The aim was to minimise disruption to existing search visibility while positioning the new website for long-term growth.

Extensive QA testing was conducted prior to launch, including responsive testing across multiple screen sizes and browsers, performance checks, backend functionality testing, and content reviews.

To support the HEAL team post-launch, Clickk also provided training and video tutorials directly within the WordPress dashboard, ensuring staff could confidently manage the website moving forward.

The new HEAL Urgent Care website delivered a significantly more cohesive and modern digital presence that better reflects the professionalism and care provided by the business.

Key outcomes included:

  • A cleaner, more premium visual identity aligned with HEAL’s evolving brand direction
  • Improved user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • A scalable WordPress CMS allowing internal staff to confidently manage website content
  • Enhanced flexibility for future growth, branding updates, and service expansion
  • Improved website structure and SEO foundations to support long-term digital growth
  • Greater consistency across imagery, typography, and overall digital presentation
  • The project successfully positioned HEAL with a future-ready digital platform designed to evolve alongside the business, rather than requiring constant redevelopment as the organisation grows.
