Built for the Long Haul: Lovells Reimagined

  • Custom-designed WordPress website: Built from the ground up to match the new Lovells brand and accommodate complex content structures
  • Integrated visual branding: Applied Engineroom Design’s branding elements including the layered ‘L’ device, deep-etched imagery, and bold typography
  • Flexible page structures: Custom layouts for products, vehicles, and key content areas to suit varied use cases
  • Interactive calculators: Developed GVM, Towing Weight, and Caravan Weight calculators to provide compliance tools for users
  • Dealer locator: Created an interactive map to help users find Lovells branches, dealers, and stockists
  • Secure dealer portal: Built a gated login area for franchisees and dealers to access internal resources and documentation
  • Vehicle search tool: Implemented a make/model/year search with conditional logic for streamlined navigation
  • Vehicle landing pages: Developed individual pages for 30 popular vehicles, highlighting compatible Lovells products
  • Content migration: Transferred data from multiple sources, including 300 vehicle records, into a unified site structure
  • Historical and industrial pages: Designed dedicated sections to showcase Lovells’ legacy and industrial capabilities

Lovells’ brand had recently undergone a full rebrand via Engineroom Design, and the new website needed to honour this updated identity while still preserving Lovells’ long-standing reputation. Key challenges included:

  • Brand consistency: Balancing the new modern branding with Lovells’ legacy and industrial credibility
  • Site consolidation: Merging multiple websites into a single, coherent platform without disrupting user flow
  • Complex sitemap: Maintaining a smooth, intuitive user experience across a large number of pages and post types
  • Variable content structure: Accommodating vastly different product and vehicle page requirements without over-templating
  • Specialised landing pages: Building and managing unique pages for 30 high-traffic vehicles, each with its own content needs
  • Calculator development: Translating technical vehicle data into accurate, easy-to-use tools for end-users
  • Navigation clarity: Preventing user confusion while offering deep functionality and layered content
  • Dealer portal functionality: Ensuring secure access for dealers and managing resources behind a login wall

Clickk’s approach focused on making the complex feel simple, without sacrificing capability or visual impact.

Brand Integration
The design borrowed heavily from Engineroom’s rebrand: bold heading hierarchies, layered ‘L’ devices, and deep-etched imagery featuring vehicles in action. Subtle animations and a strategic use of Lovells blue created a polished, premium look and feel.

Intelligent Architecture
With hundreds of products and 30 vehicle-specific landing pages, the site structure was built for scalability. Flexible page layouts allowed each product or vehicle to tell its own story, with clear UX patterns ensuring users could always find their way back.

Functional Features

  • Developed three interactive calculators (GVM, Towing, Caravan) to help users understand legal and performance limits
  • Built a searchable vehicle lookup with conditional logic, routing users to tailored landing or results pages
  • Created a secure portal for dealers and franchisees to access resources not available to the public
  • Developed an interactive map to help users locate Lovells dealers, stockists, and branches

Migration & Cleanup
A meticulous migration process brought across data for 300 vehicles, ensuring accuracy while streamlining legacy content.

  • Unified digital presence: A single, powerful website that captures the Lovells brand and communicates its diverse product offering
  • Enhanced user experience: Intuitive navigation and intelligent search features make it easy for users to find relevant information
  • Valuable self-service tools: Calculators and vehicle search functions reduce confusion and provide clear user pathways
  • Improved internal management: Flexible CMS structure enables the Lovells team to update products and content with minimal support
