Unlike many financial advisory websites, New Wealth did not require a traditional lead generation platform. The business operates exclusively through referrals and intentionally maintains a selective client base.
The primary challenges throughout the project included:
1. Understanding the Brand
The project began by understanding New Wealth’s business model and ideal clients. As a boutique advisory firm serving professionals, young families and small business owners, the website needed to communicate exclusivity while remaining approachable and welcoming.
2. Design Inspiration and Direction
New Wealth wanted a website that felt elevated and professional, while still introducing a sense of personality and warmth that reflected their younger client base. Having previously admired the Aspira website, the brief was to create a lighter and more playful interpretation of that design language, tailored specifically to professionals, young families and small business owners in their 30s and 40s.
The design focused on creating a premium experience without feeling overly corporate. A distinctive accent font was introduced to add character, while subtle square and angular motifs inspired by the New Wealth logo were carried throughout the website to reinforce the brand identity. Service information was organised into interactive accordion sections, allowing visitors to quickly navigate and digest information in a simple and intuitive way.
3. Creating a Better User Experience
Several design decisions were driven by usability. Service information was organised into accordion sections to improve readability and reduce clutter. The square and angular elements found within the New Wealth logo were incorporated throughout the site to create subtle visual consistency.
A customised multi-step enquiry form was also developed. Before progressing, visitors are required to acknowledge that New Wealth operates on a referral-only basis and that there may be a months-long waiting period. This helps set expectations early and ensures enquiries are aligned with the firm’s business model.
4. Collaborative Design Process
One of the greatest strengths of the project was the collaboration between agency and client. New Wealth provided all copy and imagery and were highly responsive throughout the design process. Their openness to creative direction allowed decisions to be made efficiently, ensuring the project maintained momentum and achieved the desired outcome.
The finished website successfully delivers on New Wealth’s vision of being premium, selective and approachable.
Key outcomes achieved included:
The success of the project highlights the importance of aligning website strategy with business strategy. Rather than chasing leads, the website was purpose-built to act as an elegant digital storefront, reinforcing New Wealth’s boutique positioning and delivering a seamless experience for the right clients.
